Yes. Theia is completely free for survivors who have been directly impacted by disasters.

We never charge survivors for access to our platform, advisors, discounts, or vetted network. Instead, the companies we work with pay us a small fee. We negotiate exclusive pricing and benefits designed to reduce the cost of your recovery.

Partners are obligated to never upsell, overcharge or pass on fee costs to you!

Theia was built by disaster survivors who understand how exhausting recovery is. Our trauma-informed approach, transparent business model, and carefully vetted partners are designed to help you rebuild with confidence.

You're always free to choose your own contractor. Our Advisors’ vetted network gives you access to hundreds of builders with proven experience rebuilding homes in your disaster area and construction type. It also allows us to leverage our relationships to help protect you and advocate on your behalf if issues arise during your rebuild.

If you're already working with an outside contractor we are unable provide a full service advisory experience. However you can still access free monthly one-on-one guidance sessions. These calls give you a second set of expert eyes to review your questions and help you make informed decisions throughout your recovery.

Most contractor vetting stops at checking a license, insurance, and bond. Our advisor partners take it further with financial audits, visits to current and completed job sites, and conversations with past and current clients. Every builder in the network has completed at least five homes with our advisors and has ground-up building experience in the burn scars.

And the vetting doesn’t stop once they’re approved - Advisors check in month after month to maintain quality, accountability, and performance, so you can build with confidence.

If issues arise during your rebuild, advisors are able to advocate on your behalf, facilitate dispute resolution, and, in the rare event that a contractor relationship breaks down, help coordinate a transition to another vetted builder -providing an added layer of protection that isn't available when working outside our network.
